Anti-penetration high alumina brick

1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, grades and dimensions, technical requirements, test methods, quality evaluation procedures, packaging, marking, transportation, storage and quality certificates of anti-penetration high alumina bricks.

This standard is mainly used for the lining of aluminum melting furnaces and heat preservation furnaces in the aluminum industry.

3 Terms and definitions

3.1

Anti-penetration high alumina brick

It is a high alumina brick with high alumina bauxite as the main raw material, made by adding additives and firing, and has the ability to resist aluminum liquid penetration.

4 Grades, shapes and sizes

4.1 Bricks are divided into two grades, KST-85 and KST-70, according to the different content of alumina. K and ST are the capitalized first letters of the pinyin of "anti" and "penetration", respectively, and 85 and 70 represent the mass percentage of alumina content.

4.2 The shape and size of the bricks shall conform to the provisions of GB/T 2992.1 and GB/T 20511, and can also be produced according to the drawings provided by the demander.

5 Technical requirements

5.1 The physicochemical indicators of the bricks shall conform to the provisions of Table 1.

5.2 The dimensional tolerances and appearance of the bricks shall conform to the provisions of Table 2.

Note 1: Total number of notches and chipped corners: ≤3 per brick
Note 2: When cracks cross the edges, only one edge is allowed to be crossed, and cross-edge cracks are calculated together.

6 Test methods

6.1 Brick sampling shall be carried out according to GB/T 7321.

6.2 Determination of chemical composition shall be carried out according to GB/T 6900 or GB/T 21114.

6.3 Determination of apparent porosity and bulk density shall be carried out according to GB/T 2997.

6.4 Determination of normal temperature compressive strength shall be carried out according to GB/T 5072.

6.5 Inspection of appearance dimensions and section shall be carried out according to GB/T 10326.

6.6 The detection method of Si and Fe elements in 7075 aluminum alloy shall be carried out according to Appendix A.

6.7 The detection of chemical composition of 7075 aluminum alloy shall be carried out according to GB/T 20975.4 and GB/T 20976.5

7 Quality assessment procedures

7.1 Batching

Bricks are batched according to the same grade, and each batch is no more than 150t.

7.2 Sampling and acceptance criteria

Sampling and acceptance of bricks shall be carried out according to GB/T 10325. Chemical composition, apparent porosity, normal temperature compressive strength and ΔSi, ΔFe (7075 aluminum alloy after 815℃x72h) are the physical and chemical test acceptance items for bricks.

7.3 Qualification assessment form

Qualification assessment can be carried out in the form of supplier's declaration, user's determination or third-party certification.

8 Packaging, marking, transportation, storage and quality certificate

8.1 Packaging, marking, transportation and storage of bricks shall be carried out according to GB/T 16546.

8.2 When bricks are shipped, a quality certificate signed by the supplier's quality department shall be attached, stating the supplier's name or factory mark, customer's name, production date, shelf life, delivery date, contract number, standard number, product name, grade, brick number, batch number and corresponding physical and chemical test results, etc.

 

 

 

High permeability aluminum brick

1 Range

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, grades and shapes, technical requirements, test methods, quality assessment procedures, packaging, marking, transportation, storage and quality certificates of high alumina bricks.

This standard is mainly used for aluminum industry aluminum melting furnace, insulation furnace lining.

3 Terms and definitions

3.1

Anti-penetration high alumina brick

The high aluminum brick is made of high aluminum rock as the main raw material, by adding additives, and by firing treatment, which is resistant to aluminum liquid penetration.

4 Grades, shapes and dimensions

4.1 Bricks are divided into two grades KST-85 and KST-70 according to the different content of aluminum oxide, K and ST are respectively the first letter of resistance and penetration Chinese pinyin uppercase, 85 and 70 represent the mass percentage of aluminum oxide content.

4.2 The shape and size of the bricks shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 2992.1 and GB/T 20511, and can also be produced according to the drawings provided by the demander.

5 Technical Requirements

5.1 The physical and chemical indexes of bricks shall comply with the provisions of Table 1

5.2 The permissible size deviation and appearance of the brick shall comply with the provisions of Table 2.

Note 1: The number of missing edges and corners: the total amount of each brick is ≤3

Note 2: Only one edge is allowed when the crack crosses the edge, and the cross edge crack is combined.

6 Test methods

6.1 Brick sample preparation is carried out according to GB/T 7321.

6.2 Chemical composition shall be determined according to GB/T 6900 or GB/T 21114.

6.3 The apparent porosity and bulk density were measured according to GB/T 2997.

6.4 The compressive strength at room temperature shall be measured according to GB/T 5072.

6.5 The inspection of the appearance size and section shall be carried out according to GB/T 10326.

6.6 The detection method of Si and Fe elements in 7075 aluminum alloy is carried out according to Appendix A.

6.7 The chemical composition of 7075 aluminum alloy is tested according to GB/T 20975.4 and GB/T 20976.5

7 Quality assessment procedures

7.1 Batch

Bricks shall be batched according to the same grade, and each batch shall not be larger than 150t.

7.2 Rules for sampling and conformity determination

Brick sampling and acceptance according to GB/T 10325, chemical composition, apparent porosity, normal temperature compressive strength and ΔSi,ΔFe(7075 aluminum alloy after 815℃x72h) are the physical and chemical inspection and acceptance items of bricks.

7.3 Form of conformity assessment

The conformity assessment can be made in the form of the supplier’s declaration, the user’s certification or the third party’s certification.

8 Packaging, marking transport, storage and quality certificate

8.1 Bricks are packed, marked, transported and stored in GB/T 16546.

8.2 When the bricks are issued, the quality certificate issued by the quality department of the supplier shall be attached, indicating the name of the supplier or factory standard, the name of the demander, production date, shelf life, delivery date, contract number, standard number, product name, brand number, brick number, lot number and corresponding physical and chemical inspection results.
