Insulating refractory bricks
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, grades, shapes and sizes, technical requirements, test methods, quality evaluation procedures, packaging, marking, transportation, storage and certificates of quality for insulating refractory bricks.
This standard applies to siliceous insulating refractory bricks.

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 10325 apply to this document.
4 Grades, shapes and sizes
4.1 Siliceous insulating refractory bricks are divided into three grades according to their bulk density: GGR-1.00, GGR-1.10, GGR-1.20, where G, G, R are the initials of "silicon", "insulating" and "heat" in pinyin, respectively, and the following numbers represent the bulk density of the siliceous insulating refractory bricks.
4.2 The shapes and sizes of brick-quality insulating refractory bricks are in accordance with GB/T 2992.1, and can also be in accordance with the drawings provided by the purchaser.
5 Technical requirements
5.1 The performance indicators of siliceous insulating refractory bricks shall conform to the provisions in Table 1.
5.2 The dimensional tolerances and appearance of siliceous insulating refractory bricks shall conform to the provisions in Table 2.

When cracks cross ridges, only one ridge is allowed to be crossed, and cross-ridge cracks are not combined for calculation. | |||
5.3 Section cracks of 5.3 bricks: The length of cracks with width ≤0.5mm is unrestricted; the length of cracks with width 0.5~1.0mm is ≤30mm; cracks with width >1mm are not allowed.
5.4 No black heart is allowed inside the brick.
5.5 Other special requirements shall be negotiated by both the supplier and the demander.
6 Test methods
6.1 Sample preparation shall be carried out according to GB/T 7321.
6.2 Determination of chemical composition shall be carried out according to GB/T 6901 or GB/T 21114.
6.3 Determination of bulk density shall be carried out according to GB/T 2998.
6.4 Determination of compressive strength at normal temperature shall be carried out according to GB/T 5072.
6.5 Determination of permanent linear change after heating shall be carried out according to GB/T 5988.
6.6 Determination of thermal conductivity shall be carried out according to YB/T 4130.
6.7 Determination of load softening start temperature shall be carried out according to YB/T 370.
6.8 Inspection of size, appearance and section shall be carried out according to GB/T 10326.
7 Quality assessment procedure
7.1 Batching
Products shall be batched according to the same grade, and each batch shall not exceed 50t.
7.2 Sampling and acceptance criteria
Sampling and acceptance of products shall be carried out according to GB/T 10325. Chemical composition, bulk density, compressive strength at normal temperature and permanent linear change after heating are the acceptance inspection items.
7.3 Form of qualification assessment
Qualification assessment can be carried out in the form of supplier's declaration, user's determination or third-party certification.
8 Packaging, marking, transportation, storage and quality certificate
8.1 Packaging, marking, transportation and storage of products shall be carried out according to GB/T 16546, or according to user requirements.
8.2 A quality certificate shall be attached when the product is shipped. The quality certificate shall indicate the supplier's name or factory mark, the demander's name, the shipping date, the contract number, the execution standard number, the product name, the grade, the brick number, the batch number and the corresponding physical and chemical test results.

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 10325 apply to this document.
4 Grades, shapes and dimensions
4.1 Silicone-insulated firebricks are divided into three grades by volume density: GGR-1.00, GGR-1.10 and GGR-1.20, where G, G and R are the initial letters of Chinese pinyin of “silicon”, “insulation” and “heat” respectively, and the numbers behind are the volume density of silicone-insulated firebricks.
4.2 The shape and size of the brick heat-insulating firebrick shall be made according to GB/T 2992.1, or according to the drawing requirements provided by the demander.
5 Technical Requirements
5.1 The performance indicators of silicon heat-insulating firebricks shall comply with the provisions of Table 1.
5.2 The size permissible deviation and appearance of the siliceous heat-insulating firebrick shall comply with the provisions of Table 2.

When a crack crosses an edge, only one edge is allowed, and the cross edge cracks are not combined. | |||
5.3 The section crack of brick: the width ≤0.5mm of the crack length is not limited; The length of spalling with a width of 0.5~1.0mm is less than 30mm; Cracks with widths greater than 1mm are not allowed.
5.4 No black heart is allowed inside the brick.
5.5 Other special requirements shall be negotiated by both parties.
6 Test methods
6.1 Sample preparation was carried out according to GB/T 7321.
6.2 Chemical composition is determined in GB/T 6901 or GB/T 21114.
6.3 The bulk density was measured according to GB/T 2998.
6.4 The compressive strength at room temperature shall be measured according to GB/T 5072.
6.5 The determination of permanent line change of heating was performed according to GB/T 5988.
6.6 Thermal conductivity was measured according to YB/T 4130.
6.7 The load softening starting temperature was determined according to YB/T 370.
6.8 The size, appearance and section shall be checked according to GB/T 10326.
7 Quality assessment procedures
7.1 Batch
Products should be batched according to the same brand, each batch does not exceed 50t.
7.2 Rules for sampling and conformity determination
The sampling and acceptance of products shall be carried out according to GB/T 10325. Chemical composition, volume, normal temperature compressive strength and heating permanent line change are the acceptance test items.
7.3 Form of conformity assessment
The conformity assessment can be made in the form of the supplier’s declaration, the user’s certification or the third party’s certification
8 Packing, marking, transportation, storage and quality certificate
8.1 The packaging, marking, transportation and storage of the product shall be carried out in accordance with GB/T 16546. Or packaging according to user requirements.
8.2 The product shall be issued with a quality certificate, which shall indicate the name of the supplier or factory standard, the name of the demander, the date of delivery, the contract number, the execution standard number, the product name, the brand number, the brick number, the lot number and the corresponding physical and chemical inspection results.
