Mold flux / Tundish casting mold powder is a functional material placed on the surface of molten steel in the crystallizer during continuous casting to maintain temperature, prevent oxidation, and absorb non-metallic inclusions.
Our company's Tundish casting mold powder is based on a ternary compound system of CaO-SiO2-Al2O3, and contains appropriate amounts of compounds such as Na2O, CaF2, and K2O.
After melting, this slag is a weakly acidic or neutral liquid slag with good wettability to molten steel, and its viscosity changes gradually with temperature.
