Mold flux / Tundish casting mold powder is a functional material placed on the surface of molten steel in the crystallizer during continuous casting to maintain temperature, prevent oxidation, and absorb non-metallic inclusions. Our company's Tundish casting mold powder is based on a ternary compound system of CaO-SiO2-Al2O3, and contains appropriate amounts of compounds such as Na2O, CaF2, and K2O. After melting, this slag is a weakly acidic or neutral liquid slag with good wettability to molten steel, and its viscosity changes gradually with temperature.

    CaO: 30%～44%

    SiO₂:22%～31%

    Al₂O₃:5%～12%

    CaF₂: 3%～13%

    Na₂O + Li₂O:8%～10%

    C : 1～9%

    Viscosity(1300℃):  ‌0.1～1.0 Pa·s‌

    Melting  temperature :  ‌900～1200℃‌    the slag film should remain liquid when exiting the crystallizer.
