Carbon-free steel ladle refractory mortar

2025-11-26

In steel plant slag lines, alumina-magnesia-carbon bricks are typically used for lining. For "wet lining" and "carbon-free steel ladle bricklaying," to address the issue of alumina-magnesia refractory mortar drying too quickly during the carbon-free steel ladle bricklaying process, a new type of refractory mortar specifically developed for carbon-free steel ladles can be used.

The composition of the new refractory mortar is as follows:

Appropriate amount

mullite fine powder or

brown corundum fine powder

100%

After being used by a steel plant, the mixed fire mortar, when observed under static conditions, did not exhibit any layering. During construction, the fire mortar did not dry too quickly. The brick joints constructed with this fire mortar were less than 1mm, demonstrating excellent construction results and receiving high praise from the user.
