Clay bricks and semi-silica bricks for coke ovens
1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification, shape, size, technical requirements, test methods, quality evaluation procedures, packaging, marking, transportation, storage and quality certificates of clay bricks and semi-silica bricks for coke ovens.
This standard applies to clay bricks and semi-silica bricks for coke ovens, and can also be used for bricks used in carbon furnaces, gas generators and vertical furnace linings.

3 Classification and dimensions
3.1 Clay bricks and semi-silica bricks for coke ovens are classified into two categories according to their use and physicochemical indicators: JNZ-35 and BGZ-65. Among them, JNZBG are the initials of "coke", "clay", "brick", "semi", and "silica" in Chinese Pinyin, and 35 and 65 respectively represent Al 2 O 3 and SiO 2) mass percentage content.
3.2 The shape and size of clay bricks and semi-silica bricks for coke ovens can be in accordance with GB/T 2992.1, or can be produced according to the drawings provided by the purchaser.
4 Technical requirements
4.1 The physicochemical indicators of clay bricks and semi-silica bricks for coke ovens shall conform to the provisions in Table 1.

4.2 The dimensional tolerances and appearance of clay bricks and semi-silica bricks for coke ovens shall conform to the provisions in Tables 2 and 3.

5 Test methods
5.1 Inspection sample preparation according to GB/T 7321.
5.2 Determination of chemical composition according to GB/T 6900 or GB/T 21114.
5.3 Determination of apparent porosity according to GB/T 2997.
5.4 Determination of normal temperature compressive strength according to GB/T 5072.
5.5 Determination of heating permanent linear change according to GB/T 5988.
5.6 Determination of load softening temperature according to YB/T 370.
5.7 Inspection of dimensions and appearance according to GB/T 10326.
5.8 Determination of refractoriness according to GB/T 7322.
6 Quality assessment procedures
6.1 Batching
Products are batched according to their use and production process, with each batch not exceeding 500t.
6.2 Sampling and acceptance criteria
6.2.1 The factory inspection items include all items in Table 1.
6.2.2 Sampling and acceptance of products shall be carried out according to GB/T 10325. Chemical composition, apparent porosity, normal temperature compressive strength, load softening temperature (excluding grid bricks) or refractoriness are acceptance inspection items.
6.3 Qualification assessment form
Qualification assessment can be carried out in the form of supplier's declaration, user's confirmation or third-party certification.
7 Packaging, marking, transportation, storage and quality certificate
7.1 Packaging, marking, transportation and storage of products shall be carried out according to GB/T 16546, and according to the contract if agreed upon.
7.2 Upon leaving the factory, the product shall be accompanied by a quality certificate issued by the supplier's quality supervision department, stating the supplier's name, purchaser's name, product name and grade, contract number, production date and physicochemical indicators, etc.

1 Range
This standard specifies the classification, shape and size, technical requirements, test methods, quality assessment procedures, packaging, marking, transportation, storage and quality certificates of clay and semi-silicon bricks used in coke ovens.
This standard is applicable to clay bricks and semi-silicon bricks for coke ovens, and can also be used for lining bricks for carbon furnaces, gas generators and vertical furnaces.

3 Classification and shape size
3.1 Clay bricks and semi-silicon bricks for coke ovens are divided into JNZ-35 and BGZ-5 categories according to their use and physical and chemical indexes. JNZBG is the initial letter of “Jiao”, “sticky”, “brick”, “half” and “silicon” in Chinese pinyin, 35 and 65 respectively represent the mass percentage content of Al2O3 and SiO2).
3.2 The shape and size of clay bricks and semi-silicon bricks for coke oven can be made according to GB/T 2992.1, or according to the drawing requirements provided by the customer.
4 Technical Requirements
4.1 The physical and chemical properties of clay bricks and semi-silicon bricks used in coke ovens must comply with the provisions of Table 1.

4.2 The permissible size deviation and appearance of clay bricks and semi-silicon bricks used in coke ovens must comply with the provisions of Table 2 and Table 3.

5 Test methods
5.1 Test sample preparation must be carried out according to GB/T 7321.
5.2 Chemical composition is determined in GB/T 6900 or GB/T 21114.
5.3 Apparent porosity was measured according to GB/T 2997.
5.4 The compressive strength at room temperature must be measured according to GB/T 5072.
5.5 The determination of the permanent linear change of heating was performed according to GB/T 5988.
5.6 The load softening temperature was measured according to YB/T 370.
5.7 Size and appearance must be checked according to GB/T 10326.
5.8 Refractories must be measured according to GB/T 7322.
6 Quality assessment procedures
6.1 Batch Ordering
Products must be batched according to use and production process; the quantity of each batch must not exceed 500t.
6.2 Sampling and conformity determination rules
6.2.1 Factory inspection items include all items listed in Table 1.
6.2.2 Sampling and acceptance of products must be carried out according to GB/T 10325. Chemical composition, apparent porosity, normal temperature compressive strength, load softening temperature (excluding lattice bricks) or fire resistance are the acceptance test items.
6.3 Form of conformity assessment
Conformity assessment can be made in the form of the supplier’s declaration, the user’s certification or third-party certification.
7 Packing, marking, transportation, storage and quality certificate
7.1 The packaging, marking, transportation and storage of the products must be carried out in accordance with GB/T 16546, and must be carried out in accordance with the contract as stipulated in the contract.
7.2 The quality certificate issued by the quality supervision department of the supplier must be attached when the product leaves the factory, indicating the name of the supplier, the name of the demander, the name and brand of the product, the contract number, the production date and the physical and chemical index.
